Research & planning: Animatic Storyboard

This is our treatment for our horror film. We have decided to go with idea 1 as we feel this the idea will can develop more and develop each element of the trailer.

During the half term we are going to complete a treatment, more genre research, Audition poster, actor research.

I am going to individually complete a make up test and look for suitable locations, research distribution companies.

We have now decided to do proposal one as our trailer. We have chosen this one as we developed the idea more and it will be more realistic to make.

Plot:A girl becomes possessed and tries to possess everyone in her school with success until one group try to overthrow her.

Cinematography:All handheld make it look like its filmed by the students at the school.

Research & Planning: Proposal x1

Proposal x1

Plot: A group of college friends are being stalked by someone who is unknown to them but is one of their friends within the group, who psychological issues and has become obsessed with them. Strange, mysterious things happen to the girls and they fear for their lives. The stalker is revealed when they are at their most vulnerable.

Background: Three friends who have known each other all the way through school, the fourth friend (stalker) joined the group recently after moving to the school. Nobody really knows where she appeared from but the girls invite her into their group kindly. She is mentally unstable and has spent time in a mental institute. The girls don't include in everything and this is what sparks her to start stalking the girls, she is extremely jealous and craves attention. She puts all the girls lives at risk and finally reveals herself to them at a dramatic climax.

Research & Planning: London

Whilst in London we visited the film museum which had interesting facts about films, studios and actors and many different genre rooms to look round. They also had props from popular films such as Harry Potter and themed rooms such as a horror genre room, super hero room.

The museum was interesting and gave me an insight into the world of film.

On Thursday we went to the BBFC for a talk about what they do. The talk was very interesting and the lady gave us some useful information and facts about how they give films their certificates and how some films are more difficult to rate than others for example 'The Simpson Movie'.
